“Detoxifying sweetness”

Yes! I call it “Detoxifying sweetness” My special drink I came up with. This drink has so many benefits. Way back when I was a young lad, I stopped drinking sodas at the age of 19,20 years of age. I would make hibiscus tea as a drink and the other day when I went to pick up the celery I grabbed Tamarind as well because I would sit and eat Tamarind as a snack/desert. I thought it would be a good mixture to combine them together. That is exactly what me and my husband did. Try it out for yourself and let me know your thoughts on it!

Benefits of the drink

Tamarind benefits

.The polyphenols in tamarind have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. These can protect against diseases such as heart disease, cancer and diabetes. The seed extract may also help lower blood sugar, while the pulp extract may help you lose body weight and reverse fatty liver disease

.Tamarind is high in many nutrients. A single cup (120 grams) of the pulp contains (2):

  • Magnesium: 28% of the RDI.
  • Potassium: 22% of the RDI.
  • Iron: 19% of the RDI.
  • Calcium: 9% of the RDI.
  • Phosphorus: 14% of the RDI.
  • Vitamin B1 (thiamin): 34% of the RDI.
  • Vitamin B2 (riboflavin): 11% of the RDI.
  • Vitamin B3 (niacin): 12% of the RDI.

.Digestion– In some African countries tamarind is used as a laxative because it contains a large amount of malic acid, tartaric acid, and potassium. That explains why when I had 2 cups full ummm I went to the bathroom like really fast! lol

.Weight loss– it contains Flavonoids polyphenols, substances that can help regulate the lipids metabolism. I will be documenting

.Heals wounds– applying a mixture from the tree and leaves can help you heal faster

.Asthma– Tamarind has antihistaminic adaptogenic effects which helps with asthma and allergic cough.

BENEFITS OF JUICING CELERY JUICE

I know you probably heard of people drinking celery juice by now and was curious of what it’s all about. Months back I gave it a try and at first the taste was a bit much but after awhile it became easy peasy. I was really feeling a difference in many ways. I stopped taking the drink for a few months now and feel that it’s a great time to join back in. I went down to my usual spot to purchase the celery juice, a local hispanic mom and pop shop that knows me well. I visited today and as soon as I asked for 10 stalks of celery they remembered me. I was well known as the ” Celery lady”. I told them that I am back and will be coming once a week to buy the celery.

Here are some benefits of Juicing Celery juice first thing in the morning on an empty stomach.

Celery Juice heals and activates the gut
-helps us digest things faster and more efficiently. Celery juice helps raise stomach acid, which is necessary to help break down food, especially protein.

.Celery Juice lowers cholesterol. Celery contains a compound called  3-n-butylphthalide (BuPh) that has been reported to have lipid-lowering action, reducing the bad cholesterol (LDL) in our bloodstream.

Celery Juice is a natural anti-inflammatory. It contains Polyacetylene which reduces chronic joint pain, gout, and rheumatoid arthritis. Not only does it soothe the body, but it is also believed to soothe the nerves, with calming and relaxing properties.

Celery Juice lowers blood pressure. Research shows that celery helps lower high blood pressure by acting as a smooth muscle relaxant, improving the flow of calcium and potassium in cells, allowing blood vessels to expand and contract with greater ease.

Celery juice aids the Liver. Studies show that celery helps reduce fat build-up in the liver. The nutrients in celery protect the liver, and actually help the liver produce enzymes that help flush fat and toxins out.

Celery juice improves digestion by increasing circulation in the intestines, getting things going and moving. It’s good for constipation, bloating, puffiness and water retention, acting as a gentle, mild, natural laxative and diuretic.

Celery Juice fights infection. Research shows that compounds found in celery contain powerful antimicrobial properties that fight infections and naturally boost immunity. Celery juice reduces uric acid and stimulates urine production, especially useful in fighting bacterial infections within the digestive tract and reproductive organs, helping prevent UTIs, bladder and kidney disorders.

Celery Juice contains powerful anti-oxidants and cancer-fighting compounds.

Celery juice is highly nutritious. Celery is loaded with essential minerals and vitamins such as folate, potassium, vitamin B6, vitamin K and vitamin C.  A cocktail for the skin. The luteolin in celery protects skin from the inside and prevents UV-induced damage. Some swear by celery’s skin healing properties, saying that it helped clear up skin conditions like psoriasis and acne.

LAVENDER ROSEMARY SUGAR/SALT SCRUB

I don’t know about you but I love to give myself (or get it done by a professional) a good body scrub treatment. There are so many benefits to a body scrub.

  • Promoting efficient circulation and skin cell turnover
  • Removing dead cells from the skin’s surface
  • Smoothing and softening rough, dry skin
  • Drawing out impurities and clearing congestion
  • Freeing ingrown hairs and smoothing razor bumps

Ingredients

  • 1 cup raw cane sugar
  • 1 cup sea salt or epsom salt
  • 1/2 cup coconut oil
  • 2 tbsp dried lavender
  • 2 tbsp chopped rosemary
  • 1 tsp sweet almond oil
  • 10 drops lavender essential oil

How To Use A Body Scrub

It’s best to use a body scrub two to three times per week to keep your skin soft and smooth from head to toe. Here’s how to add one to your body care routine:

  1. Use lukewarm water; allow it to run for 5-10 minutes to soften the skin
  2. Pause running water and apply the scrub in circular motions; start at your feet and move upwards towards your heart to enhance circulation
  3. Maintain gentle pressure (don’t scrub too hard!)
  4. Rinse thoroughly
  5. Apply your favorite body oil or lotion while your skin is still slightly damp.

PLANTS TO HELP YOU SLEEP WELL

Let’s face it, since the break out of the Coronavirus many of us sleep patterns are all off. For me personally I used to be in bed by 9pm and play “hey Google” relaxing music or sounds of the forest. When the world-wide pandemic of the Coronavirus hit I found myself staying up til 2am-3am in the morning. One time I watched Netflix from 6pm at night to 6am the next day. So I wanted to highlight 5 plants that are great for the bedroom to help you sleep well at night. Studies have shown that being surrounded by nature helps lower blood pressure levels and boost immune functions. It also purify the air you breathe.

Jasmine plant

Jasmine adds a nice aroma to the room .Results published online in the Journal of Biological Chemistry from professor Hanns Hatt’s work found that jasmine increased the GABA effect by more than five times and acted as strongly as sedatives, sleeping pills and relaxants. Inhaling jasmine transmits messages to the brain to calm down, and “chill out”, so that you can have a deeper, more restful sleep.

Lavender plant

Keeping a lavender plant on your bedside table will be sure to lull you into a deep sleep. It is the plant with the most well-known sleep-inducing aromas, and is known to slow down heart rate and lower blood pressure and stress levels . Lavender also decreases rapid-eye movement during sleep and reduces the time it takes to fall asleep.

Spider plant

Spider plants can clear up to 90% of formaldehyde from the air, according to the NASA study. Aside from cleansing the air, the spider plant will help sustain oxygen levels in the room, promoting better sleep.

Peace lily plant

Peace lily helps relieve allergy symptoms, which can relieve the irritation of dry noses and throats that may keep you up all night. It can increase humidity in a roomy up to 5%, thanks to the moisture of its flowers. This plant can grow quite big, so be sure to give it the space it needs!

Aloe vera plant

Aloe vera emits oxygen at night, making for a more restful sleep. It is also very easy to take care of, and if you forget to water it, it won’t die on you. Keeping aloe vera in your house is also useful if you happen to get cut or burnt. It also alleviates dry skin and provides relief from insect bites.

I hope this article helps you sleep better. Go out and buy a few to have in your room. For more check out https://livelovefruit.com/plants-bedroom-will-improve-sleep-quality/
