“Detoxifying sweetness”

Yes! I call it “Detoxifying sweetness” My special drink I came up with. This drink has so many benefits. Way back when I was a young lad, I stopped drinking sodas at the age of 19,20 years of age. I would make hibiscus tea as a drink and the other day when I went to pick up the celery I grabbed Tamarind as well because I would sit and eat Tamarind as a snack/desert. I thought it would be a good mixture to combine them together. That is exactly what me and my husband did. Try it out for yourself and let me know your thoughts on it!

Benefits of the drink

Tamarind benefits

.The polyphenols in tamarind have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. These can protect against diseases such as heart disease, cancer and diabetes. The seed extract may also help lower blood sugar, while the pulp extract may help you lose body weight and reverse fatty liver disease

.Tamarind is high in many nutrients. A single cup (120 grams) of the pulp contains (2):

  • Magnesium: 28% of the RDI.
  • Potassium: 22% of the RDI.
  • Iron: 19% of the RDI.
  • Calcium: 9% of the RDI.
  • Phosphorus: 14% of the RDI.
  • Vitamin B1 (thiamin): 34% of the RDI.
  • Vitamin B2 (riboflavin): 11% of the RDI.
  • Vitamin B3 (niacin): 12% of the RDI.

.Digestion– In some African countries tamarind is used as a laxative because it contains a large amount of malic acid, tartaric acid, and potassium. That explains why when I had 2 cups full ummm I went to the bathroom like really fast! lol

.Weight loss– it contains Flavonoids polyphenols, substances that can help regulate the lipids metabolism. I will be documenting

.Heals wounds– applying a mixture from the tree and leaves can help you heal faster

.Asthma– Tamarind has antihistaminic adaptogenic effects which helps with asthma and allergic cough.
